Skitby is a Hidden Gem of a Wedding venue nestled within the North Cumbrian Countryside not far from Carlisle and the Scottish borders. The setting is idyllic with a beautiful garden and views of the Lake District and Carrock fells.

Skitby is a rustic meets contemporary type of venue with traditional sandstone, ancient timber work and trending décor to create that chic, elegant look.
We have two licensed indoor areas on site to host Civil Ceremonies!! Our Ceremony Room features an open fire and has a stunning period grand piano to play that gentle soundtrack for that perfect aisle moment.

Time to celebrate with your guests in our warming homely space that is EXCLUSIVE to you surrounded with lots of love, laughter and twinkly lights!
Our Main Suite and ceremony room can accommodate up to 130 guests seated during the day and up to 180 – 200 guests for an evening reception.
We guide each couple to create something different and encourage them to pursue any ideas that bring their personality into the space!!
We have a private garden area available which is perfect for those more intimate couple photographs, lots of backdrops for those group photos and a nearby field to capture that stunning sunset
Time to eat
Food plays a massive part of your day and our menus are created with ingredients from our hand-picked selection of quality local suppliers. We have premier menus or more traditional wedding breakfast menus along with street food menus for that more informal vibe!
Catering Options at Skitby are bespoke and personalised in every way.

The Evening Party begins when you start dancing!!
Whether it be a Disco, band, or even a ceilidh we love to see nothing more than the dance floor filled and guests having a fabulous time!!
The only thing we never want to happen is the party to finish but we desire to finish every wedding party with a buzz!!
